The Measurement Uncertainty and Method Validation Training took place on August 28-29, 2023. The training was attended by ISO members for ME and FT. Ms. Nazhrah Alias, representing SQC Management (EM) Sdn. Bhd., was the invited trainee for the two-day training session.
TECHNICAL OVERVIEW OF iso/iec 17025 set laboratory (24 july 2023)
The Technical Overview of ISO/IEC 17025 SET Laboratory (Mechanical) has been conducted on 24 July 2023 and participated by the ME ISO Members at School of Engineering and Technology.
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 internal quality audit (19 june 2023)
The Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, SET go through ISO/IEC 17025 Internal Quality Audit on 19 June 2023. The laboratory was audited by Dr. Alias Othman from GT Mahir Consultancy Sdn. Bhd. The objective of the IQA are as follows:
- To ensure that the laboratory conforms to
- requirements of ISO 17025:2017,
- own laboratory’s requirements and
- Standard Malaysia (SAMM) policies, and
- to assess the effectiveness of the implementation and maintenance.
ISO/IEC 17025 TESTING AND CALIBRATION LABORATORIES CONSULTATION BY SQC MANAGEMENT (EM) SDN BHD (9-10 MARCH 2023)
ISO/IEC 17025 Testing and Calibration Laboratories Consultation has been conducted on 9-10 March 2023 by Mdm Nazhrah Alias from SQC Management (EM) Sdn Bhd. The consultation conducted for the extension of scope for Food Technology’s Laboratory.
surveillance remote assessment (9-10 november 2022)
The Surveillance Remote Assessment was conducted on 9th-10th November 2022. The Standards Malaysia team comprising Lead Assessor cum Technical Assessor, Ts. Seri Banun Sujangi has conducted the assessment for the laboratory in accordance with the requirements of management system and technical competence of the laboratory to MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017, SC 1.5, SAMM Policy, AP1, other relevant requirements of SAMM and Laboratory Documentation Management System. The assessment covered the existing scope of accreditation for the testing of metallic materials and steel products in the laboratory.
INTERNAL QUALITY AUDIT (27 JUNE 2022)
The on-site internal audit was conducted on Monday, 27th June 2022. It was carried out by Dr Alias Othman from GT Mahir Consultancy Sdn Bhd. The scope of assessment covers all the requirements of ISO 17025:2017 and relevant SAMM policies, with the aim of
a) monitor the system implementation of the quality management system,
b) assess compliance to MS ISO 17025:2017 and the laboratory’s own requirements and
c) assess compliance to relevant SAMM policies.
The Mechanical Engineering (ME) laboratory of the UTS was examined in the presence of the Quality Manager and Technical Manager, assisted by an ISO 17025 administrator and laboratory technicians.
Re - Assessment (18 November 2021)
ISO 17025:2017 Remote Assessment which was done on 18 November 2021 is aim to ensure that the applicant or the accredited laboratory continue to comply with MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and SAMM requirements. It is also aim to continue an effective implementation of corrective action on non-conformities raised in the last assessment. The assessment team consisted of Mr. Ng Chin Soo as the Lead Assessor and Ir. Chin Hon Sin as Technical Assessor for Mechanical Testing Scope.
internal QUALITY audit (15 september 2021)
The remote Internal Quality Audit was carried out by Dr. Alias Othman from GT Mahir Consultancy Sdn. Bhd. The audit was carried out over a day period on 15 September 2021. The scope of assessment covers all the requirement of ISO 17025:2017 and relevant SAMM policies. The ME laboratory of UCTS was examined with the present of the Quality Manager, Technical Manager assisted by ISO 17025:2017 administrator and laboratory technicians.
